On October 27, 2002 the Certification Service of Lay Worship Leaders of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lancaster, Ohio. Alan Vandewater of Holy Trinity was one of the thirteen people installed by Pastor Callon W. Holloway, Jr. (Bishop of the Southern Ohio Synod).
