Creating
Message Rules In Outlook Express
You can follow the steps below to have your incoming email sorted and delivered to a folder of your choice. You can have email sorted and delivered to these folders by senders name, email address, subject, etc. First create a new folder in Outlook Express 1. Right click on "Local Folders" on the left side of Outlook Express. 2. Click "new folder". 3. Next it will ask for the folder name. We recommend creating a folder called "SPAM". This way you can create a message rule for any email TAGGED as SPAM to be sent to this new folder. Our Spam filter marks email that it thinks is Spam (according to a scoring system) as [SPAM] in the subject line . Now create your Message Rule. 1. In Outlook Express click on the top menu bar option "messages" 2. Click "Create Rule From Message". This will open the New Mail Rule Window. 3. There are three steps in the New Mail Rule Window.
Any email you receive with [SPAM] in the subject should now go
to your SPAM folder. You can check this folder to see if any legitimate
email might have gotten marked as SPAM and delivered there as there
are many things that factor how an email message is scored. You
can do the same for emails coming from family, friends, newsgroups,
etc. and have sorted by their email address, name, or specific word.
