Set up Instructions for Mac OS 10.3 |

Contact a NetPlus Technician for help if you have an older version of Mac OS X.
If your computer has Mac OS 9 or older, click here for instructions.
- To setup your NetPlus dial-up account, click on the Apple menu and choose System Preferences.
- Click on Network.
- Click on the padlock icon in the bottom left corner, type your administrator account password, and click on the OK button:

- Make sure the Show pull-down menu says "Internal Modem".
- Click on the PPP tab at the top.
- Click in the Service Provider field and type "NetPlus".
- Click in the Telephone number field and type the local dial-up number for your area. Click on the link for a list of different dial-up numbers for cities in our service area.
(NOTE: To disable call waiting on your phone line when you are on the Internet, add "*70," to the beginning of the phone number [without the quotes]. If you have call waiting and you choose not to disable it, you may experience disconnects when you are using the Internet and people call your phone number.)
- Click in the Account Name field and type your NetPlus e-mail address. (NOTE: Be sure to
type the entire e-mail address. If your username is jdoe, then the e-mail address you need to type in this field is jdoe@netpluscom.com).
- Click in the Password field and type your NetPlus password if you want your computer to remember it for you.
- Click on the Modem tab at the top.
- Click on Show modem status in menu bar to select it with a checkmark.
- Click on the Apply Now button at the bottom of the window to save your changes.
- Click on the System Preferences menu at the top of the screen and choose Quit System Preferences to close the window.
- To dial-up and connect to our service, click on the modem icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen (beside the clock), and choose Connect:

- This will open the Internet Connect application:

- Click on the Connect button and your computer will dial into our service and connect you to the Internet.
- Open your favorite web browser or e-mail application to use the connection.
Set up your NetPlus e-mail using Apple Mail or Netscape Mail 7.
