Set up Instructions for Mac OS 10.3

• To setup your NetPlus dial-up account, click on the Apple menu and choose System Preferences.



• Click on Network.
• Click on the padlock icon in the bottom left corner, type your administrator account password, and click on the OK button:
  



• Make sure the Show pull-down menu says "Internal Modem".


• Click on the PPP tab at the top.



1. Click in the Service Provider field and type "NetPlus".


2. Click in the Telephone number field and type the local dial-up number for your area. Click on the link for a list of different dial-up numbers for cities in our service area.
   (NOTE: To disable call waiting on your phone line when you are on the Internet, add "*70," to the beginning of the phone number [without the quotes]. If you have call waiting and you choose not to disable it, you may experience disconnects when you are using the Internet and people call your phone number.)


3. Click in the Account Name field and type your NetPlus e-mail address. (NOTE: Be sure to type the entire e-mail address. If your username is jdoe, then the e-mail address you need to type in this field is jdoe@netpluscom.com).


4. Click in the Password field and type your NetPlus password if you want your computer to remember it for you.


• Click on the Modem tab at the top.



1. Click on Show modem status in menu bar to select it with a checkmark.


• Click on the Apply Now button at the bottom of the window to save your changes.


• Click on the System Preferences menu at the top of the screen and choose Quit System Preferences to close the window.



• To dial-up and connect to our service, click on the modem icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen (beside the clock), and choose Connect:
  



• This will open the Internet Connect application:
  



• Click on the Connect button and your computer will dial into our service and connect you to the Internet.


• Open your favorite web browser or e-mail application to use the connection.
