04-14-98 -- Our new lines are installed and operational. These new lines are in the 56K dial group. We will no longer be adding additional analog lines. In the future, we will be converting our analog group to digital. If you continue to get busy signals on our analog 342-0300 line, please feel free to use the expanded 342-0431 digital dial group.

There have been many questions regarding the new v.90 standard. The v.90 software for our equipment is still being refined and tested by the manufacturer and is not yet available. Once the software is complete and installed, and we are confident it is stable, we will notify you.

02-21-98 -- Power was out to the entire downtown area of New Lexington for approximately 2 hours -- from about 1:45 until about 3:45 p.m. Of course, all our systems were down during the outage. We apologize on behalf of American Electric Power and whoever/whatever actually caused the outage for the inconvenience. If you can read this, things are probably back to normal.

12-30-97 -- The new 56KFlex lines are now active. The new access number is 342-0431. Current download speeds are limited to 53K. Your actual connection speeds will vary between normal and app 50K depending on various factors including line conditions and the type of modem you have. For more information about 56K technology, visit the 56K homepage at http://www.56k.com/ A reminder that our equipment is 56KFlex technology, and if you are using X2 56K technology, you can expect connections up to 33.6. Please contact NetPlus if you have any problems or questions with this new service.

12-15-97 -- NetPlus has switched our news server to a new computer. This may cause some disruption in the flow of your news. If you see newsgroups empty that you usually expect to have news, you might want to delete your list of subscribed newsgroups.r I have not discovered any easy way of doing this from within the newsreader.
