Problem: How do I set my e-mail program to check for new messages every 5 or 10 minutes?
Solution: It is easy to set this option in Outlook Express. If you use a program other than this
to check your email, please call our office and ask a technician for help. You will find a link a with our office hours and phone numbers
below the following instructions:
- Open the Outlook Express program on your computer. There may be a shorcut for it on your desktop screen, or you can find it by clicking on
the Start button and looking in Programs (or All Programs in Windows XP).
- Inside Outlook Express, click on the Tools menu at the top and choose Options.
- In the General tab, there is a section in the middle that says "Send / Receive Messages". Make sure there is a checkmark beside "Check for new messages".
Then, change the number of minutes on the right to either 5 or 10 using the up and down arrows beside the little box.
Click on the OK button at the bottom of the Options window to close the window and save your changes.
If you are still having problems after trying this, please call the NetPlus office during business hours.
