Problem: How do I set Outlook Express to remove my e-mail messages
from the server?
Solution: If you receive of lot of e-mail, you can set Outlook Express
to remove your messages from the server after you download them.
- Open the Outlook Express program on your computer.
- Click on the Tools menu at the top of the window and choose Accounts.
- In the Internet Accounts window that opens, make sure your e-mail account is highlighted and
click on the Properties button on the right.
- In the Properties window that opens, click on the Advanced tab at the top.
- At the bottom of this window you will see "Leave a copy of messages on server". Uncheck this box by
clicking on it.
- Click on the OK button at the bottom to close the window and save your settings.
- Click on the Close button at the bottom of the Internet Accounts window to return to the
Inbox.
