Problem: My computer disconnects as soon as I check my mail. What could be causing this?
Solution: You are probably experiencing this if you are using Outlook Express which has this option set as the default when you first use the program.
- Open the Outlook Express program.
- Inside, click on the Tools menu at the top of the screen and choose Options.
- Then, click on the Dial-Up or Connection tab at the top and make sure "Hang Up After Sending and Receiving" is NOT checked. If it is, uncheck it by clicking on it.
- Hit OK at the bottom of the window to close the Options window and return to the Inbox.
