Problem: I have lost the shortcut on my desktop to my dial-up connection. How do I get it back?
Solution: You can create another shortcut to your connection inside the Dial-Up Networking folder.
- Double-click on the My Computer icon on the desktop to open it.
- Inside My Computer, double-click on Dial-Up Networking (For Windows ME, you will find Dial-Up Networking inside the Control Panels folder).
- Click one time on the icon for your NetPlus connection to highlight it. Then, click on the File menu at the top of the window, and choose Create Shortcut.
- Click the Yes button on the window that says "Windows cannot create a shortcut here..."
- Close the Dial-Up Networking window, as well as any other windows that are open, by clicking on the "X" in the upper right-hand corner(s). You should see the icon there on the desktop.
If you are still having problems after trying this, please call the NetPlus office during business hours.
