Traffic Light Controller

Relay controlled single traffic light controller

The Details:
Here's a simple single traffic light controller I built using 3 adjustable time delay relays. This controller doesn't use any feedback from any sensors but the times can be set for each light individually by adjusting the time delay on the relays. This setup can be modified to accept sensor inputs, and it can also be expanded for more complex traffic light arrays such as 4-ways etc. It is an inexpensinve controller to build, reliable and can be used as a temporary controller where there may be a problem with a main control unit on a traffic system. When first powered up red is on. After a set amount of time expires it will switch to green, then to yellow, then back to red and the cycle automatically starts again. I'll be posting the schematic as soon as I get a chance to draw it up.
