To the right of tree - Delmar (Del) Notestine, Descendant of Mary Ann, John Jacob Storts' second Wife. NOTICE THE BEAUTIFUL SCENERY THAT SURROUNDS THE CEMETERY. John Jacob Storts was first married to "CHRISTENA KELLER". To this union, 7 children are known. Christena showed John Jacob the place where she wanted to be buried "ON THE HOMESTEAD". John Jacob Storts, honored his Wife's request and buried her in what is now known as the "BEAR RUN CEMETERY". Christena, was the first to be buried there. Later, other descendants where buried in what came to be known as the "Family Cemetery". John Jacob Storts remarried a widow, named "MARY ANN NOTESTINE". She had 4 Children by Leonard Notestine, the youngest was 1 1/2 years old when she married John Jacob. She was 28 yrs. old and John Jacob was 67. To this union FIVE Children were born. The youngest was MARIAH "STORTS" ALLEN, Ohio's last living, "Real Daughter" of the American Revolution. Mariah was Compatriot Keith Kaufman's Great Grandmother |
