Ohio Records and Pioneer Families was first published privately 1960-1969 by Esther Weygandt Powell.  In 1970, Esther donated ORPF to The Ohio Genealogical Society with all proceeds from the sales of ORPF to go towards the OGS Library in Mansfield OH.  ORPF is now in its 44th year of publication.

Susan Dunlap Lee began doing genealogy in 1971 and became an active member of OGS and Ashland County Chapter, OGS, in 1976.  From 1978 through 1985 was  Editor of The OGS Newsletter. Became Index Editor of ORPF in 1977.  Served on the OGS Board 1983-1985 until moving to South Carolina.  Current Editor of ORPF and OCWGJ having become Editor/Chairman of ORPF in 1990 and Editor/Chairman of Ohio Civil War Genealogy Journal in 2000.  Member of First Families of Ohio, Society of Civil War Families of Ohio and OGS Fellow.  Compiled for OGS:  Twenty-Five Year Surname Index to ORPF and The Ohio Genealogical Society Periodicals Index-Topical By Location, 1960-2000.  Compiled for Ashland County Chapter:  Ashland County, Ohio, Death Records, 1867-1908; and co-compiled with Rita Bone Kopp,  Ashland County, Ohio, Marrige Records, Feb 1846-Feb 1870 and Ashland County, Ohio, Obituaries, 1904-1917.
