Dual Patriot Dedication Ceremony

There will be a dual dedication ceremony on August 14, 2005 honoring Johan Adam Anspach (Revolutionary War) and Jacob Spohn (War of 1812).

~ Johan Adam Anspach Dedication Ceremony ~

The SAR will begin the ceremonies at 1:00pm with an afternoon "Period Church Service", which will be conducted by Compatriot Tony Robinson. The SAR will conduct the First Ceremony, which includes the "Period Church Service" at the New Reading Cemetery near Somerset, Ohio.

We will unveil an "SAR Patriot Stake Marker" for Revolutionary War soldier, Johan Adam Anspach, whose tombstone is written in German.

~ Jacob Spohn Dedication Ceremony ~

This ceremony will be conducted at the "Binkley Ridge Cemetery" by the "Ohio Society - War of 1812", unveiling a  "War of 1812 Grave Marker". The time for this ceremony will be immediately following the Johan Adam Anspach ceremony. There is only 2.7 miles travel distance between the two cemeteries.

Both Patriots are related through marriage. Johan's Daughter .. Married Jacob Spohn.

Directions to the New Reading Cemetery .. where the dedication will begin on Sunday, August 14, 2005 at 1:00pm. Somerset, Ohio.

From the Square (Civil War General - Philip Sheridan sits atop his Horse). Go North on State Route 13 towards Thornville & Interstate 70. Continue 1 mile from the Square in Somerset to "Rush Creek Road" (On your Left). Continue 2.1 miles to "New Reading Cemetery" (On your Right).

Directions from I-70

Get off I-70 at Exit #132 (State Route 13). Continue 13 miles South on State Route 13 towards Somerset, Ohio. Take a Right on to "Rush Creek Road".  Continue 2.1 Miles to "New Reading Cemetery" (On Right).
