OMAHA, Neb. -- Anne Josephine Kirby Hinshaw, 77, of Omaha. Neb., died March, 13, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Judge William J. Kirby and Josephine Fielden Kirby of Little Rock, Arkansas, and great-granddaughter of the late U. S. Senator William Fosgate Kirby of Arkansas.
Survivors include her longtime companion, Richard Hale of Omaha; Diane Binns of Eureka Springs; sons Bill Farquhar and Bob Farquhar of Little Rock; and granddaughter Carolann Farquhar of Little Rock.
Anne was a talented ballet dancer and he loved cheering on the Razorbacks, the Huskers, and her favorite horses, especially at the Kentucky Derby. She retired from Blue Cross/ Blue Shield of Nebraska and she leaves good friends from Blue Cross as well as Horseman’s Park in Omaha. She also leaves a very supportive and caring family at the Methodist Cancer Center in Omaha.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock. Memorials may be made to The America Cancer Society or to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation.

H. W. “Bill” HOLLINGSHEAD, JR. of Midland, passed away Monday, June 4, 2007.
He was born June 12, 1929 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Harlow William Hollingshead, Sr. and Lorraine Gillcoat Hollingshead. Raised in Kilgore, Texas and Little Rock, Arkansas, Bill graduated from Little Rock High School and Little Rock Junior College. He received a B. S. degree in Geology from the University of Texas. Bill proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force. A 1st Lieutenant at Connally Air Force Base, he was an instructor from 1950 until 1955.
Bill had worked with Marathon Oil Company, Pennzoil as Division Manager, Tipperary, and retired from Pennzoil as Research Advisor. His memberships included AAPG in Midland, Shreveport, and Houston, and the West Texas Geological Society.
An active member of the Baptist Church for 50 years, he was currently attending First Baptist Church of Midland. He loved doing things outdoors – fishing, gardening, hunting, and was an avid ‘do it yourselfer’. He loved spending time in Pagosa Springs, Colorado with his children and grandchildren. Bill cherished his many longtime friendships with his friends of over 50 years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia A. “Pat” Hollingshead of Midland, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Jill Kay and Jim White of Colorado City, TX; son and daughter-in-law William Barry and Jennifer Hollingshead of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Jessica Thompson of San Marcos, TX; Nick Hart of Colorado City an Midland, TX; Clay, Clint, and Clancy White of Colorado City, TX; Analise, Morgan, Lindsay, and William Jack Hollingshead of Katy, TX; brothers Ronald Dean Hollingshead and Corkey Gwen Hollingshead, both of Fayetteville, AR.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 3:00 P. M. Thursday, June 7 2007 in the Worship Center of First Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Maston Courtney, Jim Rogers, Gary Owens, Jim Bradshaw, Dr. Richard Klempnauer, Hoyle McWright, Dick Saxe and Bob Hopkins. Lewisville, Texas - Dorothy V. Hogan, affectionately known as "Dot", was called to her heavenly home Tuesday, August 21, 2007 in Lewisville, Texas, aftermany years of fighting chronic lung disease. She was born on July 29, 1930 in Little Rock, Ark., to Ollie and Ella Meeks. In 1950, she married Harl T. Hogan. She had three children, two of which survive her today. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waco.
For many years, she was a professional dance instructor and active member of the Southern Association of Dance Masters in Little Rock. We also was an active member of The Altrusa Women's Club in Waco and Beta Sigma Phi service organization. In later years, she was an entrepreneur for dancewear and costume designs and an active member of the National Costumers Association.
She is survived by her son, Michael H. Hogan and wife, Juli of Fort Worth, Texas; and her daughter, Deborah K. Wanga and husband, Orlando and grandson, Kristopher of Lewisville, Texas.
A graveside burial service was held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock, Ark., on Saturday, August 25 and a memorial service will be held in her honor at Pinewood Hills Retirement Community in Flower Mound, Texas on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Patient Advocates Lending Support (PALS) at Texas Oncology, 1700 West Hwy. 6, Waco, Texas 76712. NANCY HALL BAILEY was born on September 9, 1930, in Little Rock and died at her Little Rock home on January 9, 2007. She was preceded in death by her father, C.G. "Grip" Hall, and her mother, Nancy J. Hall. Her husband of 54 years, R. Robert Bailey, survives her. She is also survived by her two wonderful children: Dr. Anne Hall Bailey and Ric Bailey, and his wife Lori, all of Little Rock; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth B. Benton of Conway; and 3 nephews and 5 nieces.
She graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts. While there she was a member of Pi Beta Phi and was elected president of the Associated Women Students. Following in her father's footsteps, her proudest educational achievement was the completion of a law degree and the attainment of her law license at the age of 60. She also proudly continued the "Crip Hall Award" at Fayetteville which was originated by her father in 1950.
A true philanthropist, she gave freely of herself, devoting much time and energy to enhancing the lives of others. A lifelong supporter of the Girl Scouts of America, she attended Camp Ouachita as a camper and a counselor, and she served as a troop leader during the 1960s and 1970s. She was a member of the American Bar Association, the Arkansas and Pulaski County Bar Associations, and the Arkansas Bar Foundation. She very much enjoyed her membership in the Downtown Little Rock Kiwanis Club, her work with the Political Animals Club of Little Rock, and her commitment to the Loving Hands Prayer Shawl Ministry which she organized at Second Presbyterian Church.
She had a multifaceted career: speech therapist; television announcer and weather girl; speech and drama teacher and debate coach at Hall High School; and Bank Marketing Officer and Assistant Vice-President in the Trust Department of Union National Bank.
A memorial service will be held at the Second Presbyterian Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock 2 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2007, with Rev. Dr. Karen K. Akin and Rev. Steve Hancock officiating. Private graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to the Kiwanis Camp Pfeifer, in care of the Downtown Little Rock Kiwanis Club; the UALR School of Law; or the Loving Hands Prayer Shawl Ministry at Second Presbyterian Church. Fred O. Wingfield, Jr., age 76, passed away December 31 from a heart attack. Even though most would be slowed by almost 17 years of various heart-related ailments, Wingfield remained active up until the time of his death; Dickinson Wingfield, both deceased, he spent his early years growing up in Little Rock and graduated from Little Rock High School in 1948. In 1949 he married Martha J. Joslin and was a devoted husband for more than 55 years until her death in 2005. Wingfield joined Aluminum Company of America in 1951 and retired in 1987 as Chief Design Engineer aftermore than 36 years. His passion was design and building and he built a number of single-family homes over a 40 year period of time. Even recently, he participated as a partner in the development of a new subdivision in the City of Little Rock.
Fred, or Freddie O. as he was known to many friends, lived in Benton for more than 45 years during his service with Alcoa and afterwards. In 1997, he and Martha decided to move to Maumelle, Ark., to continue to enjoy retired life with a peaceful view overlooking the Arkansas River. He loved to stay active tending his garden, completing various odd jobs, and keeping his home and yard in good condition. He was a devoted father to his two sons, teaching them at an early age to water ski, swim and play baseball. He often volunteered to coach their baseball teams and was an active member of the Lions Club of Benton, serving a president in 1972.
He and Martha were members of St. James Methodist Chruch of Little Rock where they has many friends who made them feel at home once they moved to the Little Rock area. They joined the New Challenges Sunday School Class and were active participants up until Martha's illness. Only recently, with the encouragement of several class members, had Wingfield begun to attend the class again after Martha's death.
Wingfield is survived by two sons, Brue and his wife Mary, of Westerville, Ohio and Keith and his wife Patty, of Little Rock, along with their four children, Katie, of Dallas, Texas, Brad and Carrie of Little Rock, and Anna of Fayetteville. He loved his grandchildren deeply. Wingfield is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Shively and her husband Paul, of Little Rock, and a very dear sister-in-law, Paulette Berger of Farmington, Ark. and brother-in-law, Darrell Joslin of Trinity, Texas.
He often commented that "Martha Jean was not supposed to go first." He now gets his wish to join her with the blessing of eternal life. Many of his friends and family who know him will understand when he sees her again he will most likely correct her for getting things out of order.
Funeral services will be held graveside Thursday, Januaray 4, 207 at 1 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Ark. Rev. Don Nolley will be officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 3, 20007 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 West 12th, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 661-9111. "Dateline: Lafayette, LA, Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 26, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church for Betty Jean Wilder, 75, who died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Rev. David Bricker, Associate Pastor of Asbury United Methodist will officiate.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Wilder, a native of Batesville, Ark., was the daughter of thelate Ewing Bickers and the former Ida Kibbe. She was involved in several business ventures, including Southside Cycle Shop, Bresler's Ice Cream Shop, and Ceramic World. She retird to devote her full attention to her family and her hobbies.
Betty was quite community-minded. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. There she was involved as a "Choir mother", one of the Needy Nook Helpers, and a youth choir chaperone for many summer trips. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Lafayette General Medical Center for many years.
Betty showed great zest for life. Her creativity and "joie de vivre" spilled over to all relationships, but particularly those with her grandchildren. She spent many afternoons playing golf at Oakbourne Country Club. She also was an avid bridge player . On Saturday mornings Betty could be found doing her favorite shopping a a flea maret or garage sale. She was also a staunch Arkansas Razorback fan. Her love of Arkansas never ceased, as she spent many special times with her family and friends at her cabin on Greers Ferry Lake.
Survivors include her husband, Tom Wilder of Lafayette; daughter, Bonnie Pollock Quandt and husband, Philip of North Little Rock, Ark., son, Steve Pollock of Lafayette, stepdaughter Lynn Ann Tanory and husband, Richard of Lafayette; stepson, Tommy Wilder and wife Sandra of Lafayette, thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Simmons and husband Tom of North Little Rock, Ark.; and brother, Ed Bickers and wife Bobbie of Arlington, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Charles Edward Pollock.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Monday from 9 a.m. to time of service at the Delhomme Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will inlude Steve Pollock, Philip Quandt, Richard Tanory, Tommy Wilder, Dylan Quandt, Todd Tanory, and Bobby Tanory.

Doris Rodgers Johnson, 74, of Jacksonville, Ark., passed away May 3, 2005 at The Victoria Care Center in Ventura, California, where she received loving care in the last months of her life. She was born in Desark, Ark., on June 6, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, David Leslie Johnson. Surviors include her son, David Johnson of West Union, South Carolina, Donna Hunt of Port Hueneme, California, one granddaugher, Jessie Bunning of West Union, S.C.; and a sister, Mrs. Alice Isgrid of Little Rock, Ark. "Bill Fiddler, 74, of Griffithville, Ark., died Saturday, July 10, 2004, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born April 27, 1930, in Vilonia, Ark. to the late John Wesley and Leona Stocks Fiddler, was preceded in death by brother, Johnny Fiddler, and was a Christian of Baptist faith.
