LRHS CLASS OF 1949 REUNION STARTING SEPT. 17, 2009

Finally - we have finalized the dates for the LRHS Class of 1949 Reunion - our 60th. I am e-mailing this to those for whom we have e-mail and "slow-mailing" to those who don't. Please let me know if your mailing address has changed. We plan to mail a packet of info in July and want to make sure we have everyone's cprrect information.

September 17, 18 & 19, 2009 - Little Rock

Thursday, 17th 3-8 pm - Registration at Whole Hog Barbecue in their party room
Friday, 18th 5 pm - until - Dinner & Music at the CC of Little Rock
Saturday, 19th 11-1:30 pm - Brunch
(We have left Friday during the day open for sightseeing, visiting with family, etc.)

LITTLE ROCK HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1949

Dear Forty-niners –

MARK DOWN THE DATE NOW - 1ST WEEKEND IN MAY, 2004
April 30, May 1-2

We have not forgotten that we promised a 55th reunion at our 50th! We just did not think it would roll around so soon!!!!! We have made plans to be headquartered again at the Governors Inn Suites in west Little Rock since it gives us a chance for visiting and relaxing in the atrium.

No excuses, classmates - our number is growing smaller and that is all the more reason for us to congregate, have fun and enjoy our memories together. I have to agree with the TV commercial that shows a lively white-haired lady saying “Old is 10 years older than you are”. So, bring your cane, your hearing aids, your glasses & teeth, and especially your sense of humor, but COME!

Enclosed is a postcard. PLEASE return. No postage included this time - (we had too much fun spending our extra funds last time). Keeping up with this class has been a challenge since many of you are footloose and fancy free - you are a moving target and I am not a mind-reader. If you prefer, you are welcome to e-mail (see address below). Even if you can’t attend, we want to know your whereabouts. Check with your classmates - if they don’t receive this letter, we need to know.

Have you tried the wonderful LRHS website that Ray Hudson is maintaining CLICK HERE . He has been wonderful in updating the information. We will be posting information concerning reunion plans on that site as well.

We were approached last year by a group that is planning a combined reunion with the Band and the classes of ‘48 & ’50 this April 25-26, 2003. However, we were already in the planning stage at that point + several of our planning group had conflicts that particular weekend. I am sure they would welcome any ‘49ers who wish to participate if there is room. (I understand it was a superb weekend!)

We will not send out another mass mailing until early 2004 with the particulars, but THE REUNION WILL TAKE PLACE and YOUR PRESENCE is requested.
